As I departed from an epic 2 weeks of being on the road from Symbiosis to Lightning in a Bottle, I happened to land in the jungle of Los Angeles.  I have to say this life I live is unexpected, exciting, challenging, but magical at times. The people I meet in gas stations, grocery stores and surf breaks, not only change my day, but my perspective on life. That shows you that one person can make a difference, an impact for the better, or the worse depending on how you look at it.  In one second, it can all change. Both hands on the wheel in this city, don’t look down or all around, please. Im riding this wave, trying to stay on the surface, but sometimes I find myself gasping for air. My skin begins to crawl as surfing as been at a minimum with little waves and quite the commute to the beach. Running around San Francisco like a mad lady, picking up rebar, glitter, coconut water, food and other necessities to sustain in the desert for 5 days AND be on the road before rush hour was a little ambitious. Traffic in California is a battle zone, a plan and full concentration is imperative to preserve your sanity. You leave at  5:00 PM on a Friday, take a wrong exit, add at least another hour to your trip. Its all part of the game, starting to learn the ropes as the months pass by. After hydrating with Kelly at the Tea Temple, shoving every last thermos, tent and bag into my car; we headed off like Thelma and Louise, slow as molasses, but on our way, nonetheless, to a magical week. The fifth annual Symbiosis took place in Pyramid Lake, Nevada, tribal grounds of the Paiute Tribe.
